As a result, we are looking for an intermediate level, multi-skilled Project Manager who can lead a team and someone that will thrive in a multifaceted, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.


JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Director, Project Management & Operations/Senior Project Manager, the Intermediate level Project Manager will be accountable for managing the efficient execution of print/digital projects and initiatives that contribute to the effective operations of the PMO Department. The Project Manager will work closely with internal teams and be responsible for engaging appropriate cross‐department expertise to ensure projects and tasks are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality. The Project Manager will coordinate people and processes to ensure the seamless and timely delivery of projects that produce the desired results. The Project Manager will act as the first point of contact for projects, ensuring the right people get the right information at the right time. The Project Manager must be a self-motivated, skilled facilitator and manager of change who executes projects to successful completion using proven project management methodologies and tools.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a portfolio of mid to large-sized internal and customer projects through the project lifecycle
  • Manage project administration, including project briefs, work back schedules, Gantt Charts, project plans and status reports to be shared with clients and various levels of internal stakeholders
  • Provide direction and leadership to project teams to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of the project to internal teams (design, development, etc.) to set expectations and ensure all members are aligned on the project plan
  • Manage changes using the Change Management process for project scope, schedule and costs
  • Perform risk management to manage and minimize project risks
  • Proactively troubleshoot and solve problems, and know when to escalate to management with clear and concise communication
  • Track KPIs to analyze project performance, identify areas for improvement and evaluate the successful completion of goals
  • Create and maintain project artifacts, templates and documentation
  • Document project insights in the lessons learned repository
  • Coaching and guidance of Junior Project Managers as needed
  • Analyze and appraise current practices: Proactively informs/initiates/recommends new processes and procedures in order to increase efficiencies and effectiveness in achieving project portfolio deliverables
  • Actively participate in idea generation to elevate the work and reputation of the PMO
  • Champions best practices and adherence to project management methodology
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • PMP or CAPM/PRINCE II certification or certification in process is required
  • Post Secondary Degree or Certificate in Business Administration or related field


EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL SKILLS and KEY COMPETENCIES

  • 3-5 years of experience in a formal Project Manager role (Required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing projects in a Digital Marketing capacity (Required)
  • Must have strong experience in implementing waterfall and/or agile methodologies within a marketing and/or digital projects team
  • Experience working within a PMO is preferred
  • Must have experience working with cross-functional teams such as designers and developers
  • Experience in providing people leadership and team-building skills
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Nice to have experience managing projects in ClickUp and Harvest
  • Must be familiar with online meeting platforms such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and WebEx
  • Nice to have solid working knowledge of Slack
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (primarily Word and Excel) and Google Suite
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills across various teams, seniority levels and client stakeholders
  • A high level of attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently to deliver projects from beginning to end with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage projects and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Uses critical thinking skills to make data-driven and informed decisions
  • Collaborative and solution-focused mindset
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility, integrity and accountability
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is an asset
